Saudi Arabia’s threat to sue people who compare them to Daesh – World Responds

THREATENS WITH ACTION: Saudi Arabia, here by the king and prime minister Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, do not like to see the kingdom is compared to Daesh. They threaten to sue anyone who makes it on the Internet, which has led to an enormous campaign.

(AMCnews): The regime in Saudi Arabia has been strongly criticized by human rights organizations.

According to Amnesty International are 151 people executed in the kingdom so far this year. Most of the executions carried out by public beheading.

Saudi Arabia’s threat to sue people who compare them to Daesh gets trolled with #SueMeSaudi trend.

#SueMeSaudi: Twitter users taunt Saudi Arabia

Twitter users took exception to a statement from the Justice Ministry in Saudi Arabia who said he will sue the Twitter user who compared Saudi Arabia to the terror group, Daesh. As a result the hashtag, #SueMeSaudi has been trending world over since morning.

The justice ministry official was quoted by the government-aligned Al Riyadh newspaper as saying “The justice ministry will sue the person who described … the sentencing of a man to death for apostasy as being ‘ISIS-like,’” Reuters reports.

The official did not define who the Twitter user was or what the potential punishment would be, but he did succeed in accidentally creating and trending two hashtags: #SaudiArabiaIsISIS and #SueMeSaudi.

Saudi Arabia has been compared to Daesh in long time now, especially for their support of terrorist organizations in Iraq, Syria and Yemen. But yesterday’s Justice Ministry statement prompted Twitter users from around the world to openly taunt and dare the Saudi government into taking action against them.

Hashtags #SueMeSaudi has now many hits every minute, and many want to mark their opposition and to show their distance to the brutal dictator regime in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia practice Wahhabism ideology, a strictly fundamentalist orientation within Sunni Islam, which in practice is the state religion in the country. It is also ideology direction that has inspired al-Qaida and Daesh.
