Chechen leader accuses Turkey of treachery

Ramzan Kadyrov says he has no doubt that Turkey will regret incident with Russian jet for a very long time

The head of Russia’s republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov has accused Turkey of treachery and expressed confidence that the authorities of that country will long regret the incident with the Russian combat aircraft in the skies over Syria.

I have no doubt that Turkey will regret it for a very long time. Those who speak about friendship and cooperation on every occasion do not act that treacherously,” Kadyrov wrote on his page in a social network.

“I consider it my duty to declare that I personally, the Chechen Republic, the entire Chechen people are ready to fulfill orders and orders of any complexity [given by the Russian president]. For this we have the will, determination, highly trained forces, and thousands of volunteers! We are always waiting for the order! You will make sure how true patriots of Russia perform it,” Kadyrov said.

According to the Russian president, at the moment of the attack the Russian Su-24 plane was flying at an altitude of 6,000 meters at a distance of 1 km from the Turkish border. Putin called the incident a “stab in the back” of Russia delivered by “terrorism accomplices.”
